Research into Semantic Discovery

The myGrid team have previously developed ontologies for the semantic description of services. These led to the development of the Feta system that allows the annotation and searching of services.

The team is now collaborating on BioCatalogue as part of the Web Services for Life Sciences project.

The team are carrying out research into how the semantic description of services will allow the “intelligent” discovery and linking of components within workflows.
