Taverna and BioVeL at INTECOL 2013

The BioVeL project will be very active at INTECOL 2013. At booth E3 you will be able to talk with the project’s scientists and engineers about your needs for biodiversity data research tools.

There will be three BioVeL talks and three posters. We also have demonstrations of workflows on the following topics:

  • Forest insects niche modelling
  • Baltic invaders and niche modelling
  • Genetic species identification and phylogenetic diversity analysis of community structure
  • Plants Population modelling
  • Ecosystem service indicators based on Biome-BGC models
  • Microbial community traits analysis
  • Data preparation and “cleaning”

The workflows run on a Taverna Server within the BioVeL portal.

We will also have a joint-workshop with LifeWatch, 1:00-2:30 on Monday, Aug. 19
