I'm currently working on adapting the way the +RightField uses Apache POI internally, updating to the newest version of POI, and most importantly providing support for modern Excel Office Open XML formats (i.e XLSX).

This is going very well and I now have RightField reading, annotating and saving XLSX style Excel documents. Just some niggling bugs to iron out and lots of testing before we release a new version.
