** Feta-GRIMOIRES Integration Experiments ''Outcomes: - Out of the box GRIMOIRES does not provide ontology regsitration and RDF(S) reasoning. - If these features are put in GRIMOIRES is capable of meeting BioMoby and myGrid's service discovery requirements. - The Service model of myGrid, (which also covers the core of BioMoby) _CAN_ be mapped to GRIMOIRES's UDDI + WSDL + Metadata model. ''Follow-up Plans: - GRIMOIRES team will keep on experimenting with ontology support and RDF(S) inference support. '' More details: Within these experments we have investigated the utility of the GRIMOIRES service registry for the life-sciences service discovery requirements. GRIMOIRES is a product of the OMII managed programme and aims to serve as a metadata enabled registry for multiple domains in the larger context of e-Science. The myGrid service description model, which also subsumes has been mapped to the GRIMOIRES registry model, moreover myGrid service search queries has been implemented as combination of GRIMOIRES API calls. Furthermore, since myGrid uses RDF(S) based simple reasoning for service search, experiments have been done to investigate ontology and RDF(S) reasoning support within GRIMORES. The result of this thread of work has shown that the GRIMOIRES model can accommodate myGrid's service descriptions and provides metadata-aware search over them. However, ontology support and RDF(S) semantics aware querying requires more investigation on GRIMOIRES side.
