Overview

The way that Taverna previously integrated with BioMart^? no longer works, as BioMart^? has a new set of services for providing this interface. Taverna therefore needs updating to interact with these new services.

Overall Goals

Update Taverna to integrate with the new set of services provided by BioMart^? together with the appropriate UI changes needed to provide the information to call a service.

Assessment

Support for biomart version 1.4. Will need a new requirement to support 1.5 in the future. The blob of code being written will be maintained by us in the short term. Ultimately, passed to biomart

Taverna workbench. BioMart^? Processor component.

Key Tasks

• Understand the new BioMart^? interface.
• Update underlying processor(s) to interact with these services.
• Update UI components to administer this.
