Scientific workflows are an important part of many Grid projects. This lead to a workshop at GGF 10 (March 2004), and the formation of a research group.

Taverna contribution to GGF 10 workflow workshop Mar 2004

A Taverna paper was accepted for the GGF 10 workflow workshop. This draft Taverna experiences paper was presented by Tom Oinn. The workflow papers are now being revised for a CCPE special issue on Grid workflow. The first stage in this is relating the Taverna paper, and related work, to the workflow summary slides produced at the workshop.

Taverna paper revisions for CCPE journal special issue

Taverna paper in Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, Volume 18, Issue 10 Special Issue: Workflow in Grid Systems (25 August 2006).

The Taverna paper submitted to the special issue of Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience Grid Workflow special issue was substantially revised to take account of the feedback from both external and internal reviewers. * taverna-ccpe.pdf: Accepted version, March 2005, before final setting into journal style

The GGF submission was liked because it wasn't just focused on workflow, but brought in the whole experimental lifecycle, as well as focusing on some practical issues. From the questions in the meeting we will need to have some words on how computational services (trad Grid) can be brought into myGrid workflows. [Carole]
