News from Sheffield

Meeting commenced with Rob Gaizauskas providing information regarding new RA in Sheffield. He will be starting on 15th July, and is coming from China to work here.

1.1 ACTION KM. Contact Ursula to find out if an extension has been made to 3 years for the new RA in Sheffield.

Sheffield will be unavailable for the Architecture meeting on Friday but will circulate a draft document by email and also put this onto the bscw website by Friday. The first draft for a timebox plan should be ready soon.

MyGrid website

Nick Sharman asked for people to contribute anything they have for the website. This should be sent to Manchester (Richard Cawley) before Thursday.

1.2 ACTION ALL. Send anything interesting for the myGrid website to Richard Cawley by Thursday.

Luc Moreau has already sent something and Rob Gaizauskas will send a link to a demo of his.

A discussion regarding how to regulate what goes onto (and what does not) the website ensued.

RG left the conference.

Collaboration agreement

1.3 ACTION KM. Send out collaboration agreement to all WP leaders and Matthew Addis.

Previous meetings actions

1.1 ACTION ALL. Read Mark Greenwoods documentation and provide feedback on it. This has been done.

1.2 ACTION NS. Approach each representative of workpackage group and publicize their new role. All leaders have been approached but not each rep. These will be announced on Friday.

1.3 ACTION NS Contact Richard Cawley regarding mailing lists. This will be done after Friday?s meeting.

1.4 ACTION CAG/NS Ask Yike at Imperial for use of a room for a roadmap workshop. Not done.

1.5 ACTION CAG. Ask Alex at Birkbeck if they have a room available for a meeting on May 9th (inclusive architecture meeting). Not done.

1.6 ACTION NS. To rephrase clause 8.1 and make it into a proper sentence in the collaboration agreement. Lisa?s revised version accepted.

1.7. ACTION NS. Contact Malcolm regarding an invite to the NeSc? opening.

Any other business.

Luc stressed the importance of Friday?s meeting and asked for everybody to have their requirements.

Alan Robinson drew attention to the web services workshop hosted by EBI at end of August.
