I've been developing contacts with bioinformatics users and service providers in the University of Nottingham, to build up a picture of what they do with bioinformatics, and problems they have which myGrid components may be able to solve. Contact details and interviews can be found by using the links below. When they are more complete, I will enter them into Anil's list of interviews

I've tried to include all of the information that I've found in pages linked to from here, including contact details, structure of department, emails exchanged and write-ups of interviews. To find this information, navigate through links for the different schools at Nottingham below.

School of Biology
School of Biosciences
School of Chemistry
School of Pharmacy

To jump to people who have been interviews, use the following links:

Marion Hamshere - school of biology - institute of genetics - molecular toxicology group
John Brameld - school of biosciences - division of nutritional biochemistry
Tim Parr - school of biosciences - division of nutritional biochemistry
Ron Bardsley - school of biosciences - division of nutritional biochemistry
Nottingham Arabidopsis Stock Centre - school of biosciences - division of plant sciences
Jonathan Hirst - school of chemistry - biological and biomolecular chemistry group
Matt Wood - school of chemistry - biological and biomolecuar chemistry group
Charlie Laughton - school of pharmacy - medicinal and structural biology group - molecular recognition group

As part of the interview process, I have collected some information on paper. These resources are mentioned in the write-up to the interviews. If you're interested in any information, just email me at the address given above, and we can arrange a format for me to get it to you in.

I'm also interested in other sources of information about the day-to-day job of being a bioninformatician. Below is a list of resources I have found so far. Feel free to add anything you find to it.

The bioMoby use case project Scenarions generated by bioinformaticians, which have been used to develop detailed use cases.
