By default the mygrid.properties shipped within the Taverna download are used (i.e. taverna.startup/conf/mygrid.properties). For most users this is sufficient. However, if Taverna is deployed in a multi-user environment individual users may want to customise their own mygrid.properties without affecting the settings of other users.

The presence of a mygrid.properties in taverna.home/conf overrides the taverna.startup/conf/mygrid.properties. So users can copy over the default mygrid.properties to this location and customise them to their own individual needs.

This is also true for raven.properties and the log4.properties.
