Taverna Workbench 1.7.1

This is the latest Taverna Workbench application; it allows you to create and run workflows from your workstation. Taverna 2 beta 1 is also available for download. If you simply wish to use Taverna to run your experiments then this is the download for you. Download using the link below, unzip and run either the runme.bat (Windows) or runme.sh (Linux), having read the Taverna Requirements page first to ensure that your system has all prerequisites installed, namely Java 5. Mac users please note the distinct OS X download.

Download the workbench (for Windows, Linux and others, except Mac OS X). We have tested with Windows XP and Ubuntu 6.10, but Taverna should run on all recent Windows versions (Windows 2000 onwards) as long as Java runtime environment 5 or newer has been installed. Solaris and other Unix-like OS should also work given the requirements have been installed.

Download the workbench disk image (for Mac OS X) - You should copy the Taverna application from the disk image to somewhere sensible such as your Applications folder.

You will be redirected to a page allowing you to select a download mirror. Mirrors are identical copies of the download that may be closer to you resulting in better download speeds and less network usage, please use one if possible.

There are also a number of plugins for Taverna that allow extra functionality such as user interaction and provenance capture.
