myGrid at ISMB 2009
ISMB/ECCB 2009 took place June 27 - July 2, 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Some of the work of the myGrid team, and of course our colleagues, was presented at the conference.
BioCatalogue
The BioCatalogue, which will provide a single registration point for Web Service providers and a single search site for scientists and developers, was launched at ISMB.
There was a demo for the BioCatalogue during Technical Track session TT40, which took place on Wednesday July 1st from 2:45pm - 3:10 pm in Room C8.
There was also be a poster which was presented during the poster session of the conference.
Ondex
The Ondex SABR project aims to produce a robust, fully featured, extensible, easy to use and professionally-supported data integration framework for systems biology projects to use. Taverna is being to create and execute workflows that access services in the Ondex system.
The use of Taverna and Ondex was demonstrated in the Technology Track on July 2nd.
There was an Ondex poster during the poster session.
SysMO
SysMO aims to record and describe the dynamic molecular processes occurring in microorganisms in a comprehensive way and to present these processes in the form of computerized mathematical models. SysMO-DB aims to facilitate the web-based exchange of data between research groups within- and inter- consortia, and to provide an integrated platform for the dissemination of the results of the SysMO projects to the scientific community
A SysMo poster was presented during the poster session of the main conference.
A SysMo talk was given by Katy Wolstencroft in the Data and Analysis Management Special Interest Group meeting on Saturday June 27th.
Taverna
A talk on Taverna was given by Carole Goble during the Data and Analysis Management Special Interest Group meeting on Saturday June 27th.
