Taverna Platform is a new OSGi enabled platform for running Taverna workflows. Taverna Platform will be at the core of Taverna Workbench, Taverna Server and Taverna Command Line Tool and is designed to be easy to integrate into other programmes that require the ability run Taverna Workflows.

Running a workflow with the Taverna Platform
Taverna Platform provides a RunService for running workflows and managing workflow runs.
When to use
When you want to run a Taverna workflow from your own software.
When you want to run a Taverna workflow locally.
When you want to run a Taverna workflow remotely.
When you want to run a Taverna SCUFL2 workflow.
When you want to run a Taverna workflow from an OSGi framework.
When to use something else
If you want to design or edit a Taverna workflow, use Taverna 2.
