About Jira

This is Jira, the bug tracker for software produced by the myGrid project. The software behind this bug tracker has been provided for free by Atlassian.

myGrid uses Jira to manage the bugs that we have confirmed are official bugs, as well as other issues and feature requests that we are working on. Unfortunately, we had to block open user registration because of spammers.

In particular we don't use Jira as a support tracking system, but as a bug tracker. Jira has the potential to do both, though, and of course we can reconsider this depending on user feedback.

Although there is no reason why we can not open a Jira account for genuine bug reporters, we currently feel that it's better to submit bugs and comments to one of our mailing lists, taverna-users or taverna-hackers (depending on the level of techiness).

In that way, other users can track the activity, and our dedicated "support hat" person of the week will pick up on the case and see if it should be entered into Jira or not, and also take care of getting any additional details required.
