Andrew Brass

Andy Brass is a Professor of Bioinformatics at the University of Manchester.

He has expertise in the development and application of bioinformatics methods for the capture and analysis of transcriptome data, combining classical genetics approaches (e.g quantitative trait loci) with microarrays to link from genotype to phenotype in parasitic disease such as African trypanosomiasis.

He also has a long-standing interest in bioinformatics education. He was a CI on the EPSRC FCSfES grant Qurator and has been the PI/CI of numerous of BBSRC and NERC awards.
